Location & ACCESSIBILITY

9 Newton Place, Glasgow G3 7PR

(open Google Maps in a new page)

I work from Technology House, a former townhouse 6 minutes’ walk from Charing Cross station and 11 minutes’ walk from St. George’s Cross subway station. Parking is available in Newton Place and nearby streets and terraces for about £1/hour (free after 6pm).

Please note that my office is up 52 steps from street level. Unfortunately, due to the age of the building, there is no lift. If this is a barrier for you, please contact me and we can discuss more accessible options.

fees & scheduling

My fee is £50 for a 50-minute session. A good fit between therapist and client is essential, so in order for us to get to know each other, I offer an initial session at a reduced fee of £25.

I generally work on the basis of one session a week. Some people feel they would benefit from more frequent appointments; others are interested in fortnightly sessions. I do occasionally work fortnightly when I have availability, but I find weekly therapy generally offers more consistency and momentum. For this reason, I prefer to meet weekly, at least in the beginning of therapy. You’re welcome to discuss the options with me when you get in touch.

a safe, inclusive practice

I am a member of the BACP and UKCP and abide by their ethical frameworks. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and strive for an inclusive practice that welcomes clients of all genders and nationalities. I work respectfully with those of all spiritual and/or religious identities, including those of no religion and those who have suffered spiritual hurt. While I work with individuals, I also consider how personal distress fits into our broader social context and systems of power and inequality. My office and facilities are quiet, discreet and gender-neutral.

privacy & confidentiality

I take your confidentiality seriously and will not disclose what you tell me without your consent, except in rare and specific circumstances to fulfil certain legal duties of care and safeguarding. From time to time, I share anonymised details of my client work with a clinical supervisor, in line with professional best practice. You are welcome to discuss confidentiality with me further.

I store and manage client data in line with GDPR and supply all prospective new clients with details of my privacy policy as a matter of course.
