Location & ACCESSIBILITY

I work in central Bristol (BS6). My therapy room is on Cheltenham Road, near the Arches, 5 minutes’ walk from Montpelier station. Paid street parking is available nearby.

The room is up two flights of stairs and there is no lift. If this creates an accessibility issue for you, please contact me to discuss alternative arrangements.

fees & FREQUENCY

My fee is £80 for a 50-minute session. In order for us to learn more about each other and whether we might work together, I offer an initial consultation at a reduced fee of £40.

Longer sessions of 90 minutes are often indicated for EMDR or complex trauma and dissociative disorders. My fee for a 90-minute session is £110.

I generally work on the basis of one session a week, although some people benefit from more frequent sessions. I find that meeting less often reduces the impact and momentum of the work, although it’s often appropriate towards the end of therapy. You’re welcome to discuss the options with me when you get in touch.

My full-fee work enables me to dedicate a portion of my practice to offering low-cost psychotherapy to clients who would not otherwise be able to access it.

a safe, inclusive practice

I am a member of the UKCP and abide by its ethical framework, striving for a practice that is anti-racist, LGBTQIA+-allied, feminist and trans affirming. I work supportively with nonmonogamy and kink, and respectfully with all spiritual and/or religious identities, including those of no religion and those who have suffered spiritual harm.

While I work with individuals, I consider it essential to understand personal suffering in its social context, particularly considering how issues of power, inequality and justice affect us. I welcome conversations about race, gender, sexuality, disability, social class, national origin or any other aspect of identity that affects you.

privacy & confidentiality

I take your confidentiality seriously and will not disclose what you tell me without your consent, except in rare and specific circumstances to fulfil certain legal duties of care and safeguarding. From time to time, I share anonymised details of my client work with a clinical supervisor, in line with professional best practice. You are welcome to discuss confidentiality with me further.

I store and manage client data in line with GDPR and supply all prospective new clients with details of my privacy policy as a matter of course.
