Location & ACCESSIBILITY
6th floor, 34 West George Street, Glasgow G2 1DA
I work from the Consulting Rooms on the 6th floor of the Connal Building, a short walk from Glasgow Central and Queen Street stations and Buchanan Street subway. The area is also well served by buses. Paid parking is available at Buchanan Galleries car park.
There is a lift to the 6th floor, but unfortunately the building is not step-free (the entrance is up 13 steps). A quiet, comfortable waiting area is provided.
fees & scheduling
My fee is £50 for a 50-minute session. A good fit between therapist and client is essential, so in order for us to get to know each other, I offer an initial session at a reduced fee of £25.
I generally work on the basis of one session a week. Some people feel they would benefit from more frequent appointments; others are interested in fortnightly sessions. I do occasionally work fortnightly when I have availability, but I find the therapy generally goes more slowly and can lose momentum more easily this way. For this reason, I prefer to meet weekly, at least in the beginning of therapy. You’re welcome to discuss the options with me when you get in touch.
a safe, inclusive practice
I am a member of the BACP and UKCP and abide by their ethical frameworks. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and strive for an inclusive practice that welcomes clients of all genders and nationalities. I work respectfully with those of all spiritual and/or religious identities, including those of no religion and those who have suffered spiritual hurt. While I work with individuals, I also consider how personal distress fits into the broader social context and systems of power and inequality. My office and facilities are discreet and gender-neutral.
privacy & confidentiality
I take your confidentiality seriously and will not disclose what you tell me without your consent, except to fulfil certain legal duties of care and safeguarding. From time to time, I share anonymised details of my client work with a clinical supervisor, in line with professional best practice. You are welcome to discuss confidentiality with me further.
